I have a question that might sound kind of
silly. I start my second pack of Loestrin
tomorrow, and I'm just wondering whether
or not I still need to use a back-up
method of birth control for the first
seven days or if I'll automatically be
protected again.

You are protected after the first week on
it. So you are fine.

The first 7 days is only on the first pack
so you are good to go.
A note of caution: nothing is 100%. I
personally choose to use condoms as well
as the pill for added safety. It helps
him last longer too
