I have been reading alot of baby books and all of them have been telling me that my navel is soppose to be protruding by now because my uterus should be above it now. Mines isnt protruding at all and it makes me a little worried that my baby isnt growing the way she is soppose to. Did anyone elses navel not protrude (stick out) this far along in the pregnancy?

my belly button never even came close to the surface with my last pregnancy, not even when i was 40 weeks.

you can usually feel the top of your uterus if you push on your stomach where you think it should be. i'm 25w3d and i can feel mine end about 2 inches above my belly button.

not everyone is the same! some belly buttons pop out, some don't. i could still stick my finger far into mine until the day i delivered.

Mine either for all the others and this one is kind sorta trying to, but hardly. Don't worry, it's not anything to worry about.

If you're going to be carrying more on the inside than the outside like I do, then your skin isn't going to need to stretch out nearly as much either. It doesn't have anything to do with the baby not growing right....as long as you measure normal for the number of weeks by your doc, your good. I know it's hard when you're only going about once a month at this point for checkups and it's easy to feel like there's something wrong, even when you just went the day before. I hate that lol.

Don't take everything the baby books say as fact for you personally. A lot of it is for what the average person usually experiences, and we all know that that can make you go crazy if you're not right on "average".

I am 24w1d and mine isnt completely out. It used to me a real "innie" but it does seem like it will be out soon. Like everybody else said, those books are for the "average" woman and we are all different. Dont be worried! Smile

I'm about 24wks now and my belly button hasn't thought about popping. I have a really nice innie, and the only difference is I can now see the bottom, which is weird because I have a beauty mark in it Very Happy My sister is basically built like me only 5 inches shorter and hers NEVER popped, it just kinda flattened and she was over 40wks when she gave birth.

Feel lucky ladies...verrry lucky!!

With Oni my b button was OUT by about 25 weeks... but I was INSANLY skinny for my height. So it didn't take much urging for it to pop.

With this pregnancy, it popped out at about 30 weeks.

I can't WAIT to get my innie back!!!!!

Your fine, mine diddnt pop out until about 34-35 weeks and I'm 40 weeks now. Very Happy Everyone shows differently, for me I diddnt really become noticible until my 7th month, at 6 months i could tell but if you diddnt know me you prolly wouldnt think i was. so it took a long time for me to pop out but my baby is normal size and weight so dont worry, your good to go!
