Ice Cube Method Over Rubber Band Method? Posted: 12-27-07 01:17am
Which one would be better?
Eh, a lot of stuff happened tonight. =/
We were having an after-christmas birthday
party for a family member, and everything
went downhill from there. NO ONE except
for a few close friends knows about my
boyfriend, and my little brother almost
ruined it.
Whole long night;
Boyfriend problems/fight/make up.
Little brother told my mother I was gay.
Mom didn't like it.
<Insert big fight here>
She won't remember it anyway.
I was really upset, I still am, but it's
not as bad as a few hours ago. It was just
so horrible, the things she said. I
couldn't really /blame/ her, cause she was
drunk, and I think she may be homophobic,
and thats really big news especially when
it your youngest child.
So, I haven't cut for about 6-7 months
until tonight. I just king of blacked out,
and next thing I know, badaboom.
So yeah, I really don't want a(nother?)
relapse. Which would be easier; least
noticable, etc?

Wow...well, you aren't alone. Actually,
you might be better off than I am. I
haven't even told my homophobic parents
about my orientation issues, and I don't
know if I will ever have the courage to do
that. While, I don't want to pretend to
know what you are going through, and all I
can say is to just have strength. Know
that your mom's life isn't your life. You
are in charge of your own destiny. At
least, that is what gets me through each
day. When I find myself in that type of
situation, and when I think that all hope
is lost, I try and remember that no one
can manipulate who I am. I'm special, I
have dreams, I have a future, and I
shouldn't let anything or anyone impede
with that. Life can be really, really,
crappy, but it's up to you to do something
about it. Don't use these moments to bring
you down, but instead, use them to make
stronger. You said that you haven't cut
yourself for like 6-7 months! That's such
an amazing accomplishment!! Just keep
setting goals for yourself; try to last
longer and fight harder ( I have to do
that). Tell yourself that you will get
through this, and who knows? Maybe someone
will look to you for inspiration.
