2cm Dialated And 85% Effaced! Posted: 12-27-07 17:03pm
I went to the Dr. yesterday and she told
me I'm progressing nicely and that the
baby could come anytime now. I'm excited
and hope for her to come before her due
date of Dec. 31st but then again it will
most likely be later I bet because I'm a
first time mother. If I don't have her by
next wed.s they are going to strip my
membranes and if that fails to put me into
labor then they will schedule to have me
induced. I refused this week to have my
membranes stripped because I feared it
might hurt. Just thought I'd share. Anyone have
their membranes stripped? Does it hurt?

I don't think being a new mom is going to
set back your labor day. Due dates are
not a mathematical science and are subject
to error, so if you go a week late or even
a week early, you'll be fine. If it's
over a week since your due date, then
maybe you can let your doctor intervene.
Don't let them call all the shots.
