Weird Periods after stopping pill Posted: 12-27-07 17:41pm
Hi girlies, im new to the forum but needed
some advice and needed to know if anyone
else is/has going through what i am...
Basically i am a 23 year old who has been
off the pill now since May this year, as
my husband and i wanted to try for a baby.
I had 3 regular periods when my pill
stopped and then it all went a little
weird...
I didnt have my period so got all excited
but basicaly to cut a long story short, i
wasnt pregnant but had a lot of brown
discharge only when i wiped..which i
thought was rather strange, people were
telling me it was implantation bleeding
which got me all excited. Since then i
had no periods for 3 months and then the
last few have been weird, only been when i
wipe...its mostly brown with stringy
clumpy bits (sorry for the details). In
between all of this i have since found out
i have an underactive thyroid and am now
on my 2nd month of thyroxine tablets 50mg.
My levels are getting normal now according
to my doctor so maybe this and the pill is
to do with my periods????? i really dont
know whats wrong with me, i hate havng the
weird periods, they last so long (up to 3
weeks) and it has a big effect on my
personal life . Has anyone else
gone through this after stopping the pill
or with thyroid problems??? Thanks for
reading this, its great being female ey?!
take care....
