I'm a step mom of two teenage boys, and I
have a concern about one. I feel he is
eating too much. He is a 6'2", 16 yr. old,
300 lbs., and he eats and eats. When
others are going for seconds, he is going
for 3rds or 4ths. No one seems to think
it's a problem, and he's dad is telling
him to eat up. Should I just leave it
alone? or step in and say something. We
have them every weekend, and it happens
every weekend. What should be done?

Cook less food?
There is an overeating disorder as well.
It could very well be a medical problem,
as in a thyroid problem or something.
Is he self concious about being overweight
or anything?
Maybe you could start a conversation that
way and ask him if he would be willing to
seek medical advice/care.
