Beta #2 ....4748 Posted: 12-28-07 16:29pm
Hi all
I just had my second beta, the first was
12dpo at 185
They said that it should double every 2nd
or 3rd day...I'm now 19dpo (a week later)
and the beta is 4748!! That's way more
than doubling ever few days no?
Am I having twins?
There is a possibility because I had IVF
and they transferred two embryos back into
me. I would be over the moon if I'm having
twins.
I guess I'll have to wait until the
ultrasound to know for sure, but if any of
you have any insight...please share.
Cheers
Cheryl

I don't know if that means twins or not
but it certainly seems like whatever is in
there is very happy!!!

More hCG is
released in a multiple pregnancy, such as
twins or triplets, than in a single
pregnancy. Less hCG is released if the
fertilized egg implants in a place other
than the uterus, such as in a fallopian
tube. This is called an ectopic
pregnancy.
That's such great news Cheryl!! I can't
wait for you to go for your ultrasound.
When do you go?
It is really hard to judge whether or not
its twins just by the numbers. Betas
always tend to rise quicker in the
beginning then they start to slow down.
Sorry I am not too much help. But one good
thing is that it is a very good sign that
your little bean is growing quite
nicely.....yay!!!!!!!
