Lupus w: tiredness and fever ?
Posted: 12-28-07 22:30pm

Hi there. I am a 31 year old female who has has weird physical sympotms over 3 different episodes in the past year. 1st episode (last summer) lasted about 2 months and consisted of excessive tiredness, moodiness, loss of concentration, heat intolerance and low grade fever that comes every few days and then it dissapeared. 2nd episode begun while on a holiday in a sunny resort location and lasted longer at about 3 months. I had pleurasy on the lung, urinary tract infection, a skin rash virsus called Pitreosa Rosea (may be spelt wrong) as well as again excessive tiredness, concentration problems, minor memory problems, anxiety and low moods, low grade fevers. Dr found low iron levels and blamed all of the symptoms on this and/or depression. Felt better for about 2 months and again it has started about 2-3 weeks ago (summer again) I have not had any major symptoms yet but have heat intollerance (let me say I used to LOVE the heat - the hotter the better) low grabe fevers, excessive tiredness and general feeling of unwell I also have started to get pins & needles in my left hand. Can anyone out there tell me if I should be thinking of Lupus as a possibility? I am too embarassed to ask my Dr about this as she seems to think I am a hypocondriact. I have never been sickly in the past and have a high tollerence and classify myself as definately not a hypocondiact. There is no family history of Lupus that I am aware of, I do not have any joint problems other that a sore shoulder for past 2 years, sore feet and ankles after resting and I have not had a face "butterfly" rash. I have a good intuition and know my body and can feel that something is not right, I just cant figure out what!! Should I bite the bullet and ask my DR or do you think this soulds unlikely to be Lupus? Any advise of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much Smile
