Well, you just have to sit him down and be
like we need to talk...and just tell him
what's going on. See what his feelings are
on this and talk it all out.

It is good that he is on his feet and has
a job now.
If he is your best friend and an
understanding person, there is no reason
why he should not be able to hear about
this news. It is his baby too, and his
not talking to you would show that he is
not worth your time and very immature,
because you are both in this together. It
is just as much his fault as yours that
you are pregnant.
Give him a chance, talk to him, and see
what happens.

I just read your profile and see that you
want to keep the baby. That is your
decision and not his. Don't let anyone
change your mind for you.
If you don't have anyone to support you
after you have the baby, but want to keep
it now, then you can always put it up for
adoption. You will have all 9 months of
pregnancy to work things out too, so don't
despair if you find him non-supportive.

Thanx for all of you. i could never put a
baby up for adoption tho. he is actually
fosterd himself and currently at his mums
for xmas but comes home for the rest of
the year. i know how hard he has it n
couldnt put a kid tho what he does.
so at that point i have a feeling he will
gradually except it but i cant stand
thinkin about the look on his face. (sheer
dissapointment i think) or it cud be a
happy one. i just cant think of the time
to tell him.
were never alone, n if we are its with his
foster brothers ear on the door. and if a
said i need to speak to you privitly he'd
pannic

There must have been a time when you were
alone....since you were able to have sex
and get pregnant. I'm sure there is a way
that you can work it out.
Like I said, it's your decision, so if you
want to keep the baby, keep it. You could
just not tell him about it, but since you
are best friends, that would cause a
little more tension once he found out,
because eventually he will and wonder why
you never told him.
Given time, I think the right opportunity
will present itself. Just don't make a
big deal about it and make him scared
before you even actually tell him.

Why do you think he'll react badly? Is it
because he doesn't want a child yet, since
he is technically not yet an adult? How
does child support work in Scotland? Can
he be forced to pay for a child he doesn't
want for 18 years?

As difficult as it may be to tell him if
you were sleeping together then he should
have had an idea that becoming pregnant
was a possibility, even if you were using
contraception.
Just be honest with him and tell him how
things are - maybe he'll need some time to
digest the news but if he's a decent guy
then he'll come round.

It would break my heart if I ruined a
friendship like that.
I hope it goes fine for you.
But then again, I don't think you should
have 'gotten too close' to your best
friend. That was kind of terrible
judgement.
Especially one who's two years younger
than you.
Wow.
