was dream sleep paralysis ?

well i just found this site and athough I'm sure I've figured it out I still wanna see what you guys think of this...

about a year ago my boyfriend and I went to the bahama's. we had a confrontation with one of the men who workd at the hotel, and my boyfriend got in a little arguement with him but it was resolved and we went to our room to sleep.

well, I woke up to the sound of him making a weird sound with his mouth and when I looked down on him his eyes were open, his mouth was open making that sound and he was staring up at the ceiling in a trance or something like that. and I started shaking him and trying to get him out of it.

he came out of it and he freaked out. he said that in his dream he was lookin up like how I saw him, but in his dream he saw the guy we got in a arguement with standing over the bed looking down on us. and in his dream he was trying to scream so I would wake up and wake him up. but in his dream nothing would come out.

is this sleep paralysis (sp?) or do I have something to worry about. cuz to be honest whenever I think about this incident, I get scared because I always thought it was maybe something serious like a weird seizure or something, but now that I have realized what s.p. is, i'm wondering does this sound like it? it was so weird! thanks for any input.

Often sleep paralysis comes with hallucinations

Often sleep paralysis comes with hypnagogic hallucinations (vivid dreams while waking up).

When I had sleep paralysis, I often saw someone I have been thinking about. It is pretty scary at first, but really actually "harmless", just scary mainly cause you don't know what it going on. The first time I was sure I had been paralyzed.

Has he had it only the one time? If so, no worries it actually happens to a lot people once or twice in their lifetime.

Or... does it happen often? Then I could be part of a larger problem. Is he excessively sleepy in the daytime? That could indicate Narcolepsy (what I have). He should go see a doctor and get some help.
