I'll tell you Suzy, I have suffered my
whole life with depression, and its never
been as bad as it was after my oldest son
was born. There is NO shame in needing
some medication especially if it makes all
the difference in the world in how you
enjoy your life. It's probably just
something you would need for a little
while anyway by the sounds of it.
Depression hurts, and it sucks, don't be
ashamed to get the help you need. You'll
be so happy that you did, trust me I know.
Anything you wanna know, or ask, I'll
answer anytime.

thats what PPD does to you.
no matter how hard you try to fix it Suzy
its not going to get better til u take
something for it.. PPD goes away on its
own after a little while, but in the
meantime u need something to help u
function until ur body rights itself.
Theres no shame in taking medicine for it.
I did it.. And u know how strong of a
person i am.

I felt that way after macy and just delt

thru that again so I didnt leave the
hospital without a prescription for stuff.
trust me it makes a world of difference
when they find the one that works for you.
It helps to have ppl to talk to that
truely care. my aim is connected to my
phone so i can always talk. (altho i might
bill ya if u wake me up lol)

Sorry you feel that way. I sorta had it
for about a month after Ava, but it went
away on it's own. Believe it or not my
dr. talked me out of medicine. He said
that if I still had it in 6 weeks to let
him know b/c it should go away.
Thankfully it did.
Get the help you need!

It's a biochemical/physical problem, it
has nothing to do with your life
circumstances. You could win the lottery
tomorrow and still feel this way. Your
brain isn't getting enough of a
neurotransmitter, which is a chemical
manufactured by your body. It's sort of
like a diabetic who is sick because his
pancreas doesn't make enough insulin.
That person needs medicine to compensate
for the missing insulin, just as a person
suffering from depression needs medication
to compensate for the inadequate
neurotransmitter.
Sleep deprivation has been linked to
triggering post partum depression. Maybe
you could ask your doctor about this, and
maybe if he/she can help you restore your
sleep pattern, the depression may resolve
itself.
These people are giving you good advice.
I hope you take them up on it. Please pm
me or any of these other friends of yours
if you want to.

Suzy you should be enjoying this
incredible time in your life but because
of circumstances beyond your control you
can't.....but it is fixable. Please see
your doctor and get something for it so
you can continue to be a great mom to
Kristen but actually enjoy every minute of
it!!

Aww Suzy, I hope it goes well hun. I know
how it feels I had, still have a touch of
PND but I had things going on around me
that affected my moods towards life and
Paige but when they changed I picked up,
spoke to my health visitor for a few weeks
and I feel a bit better now. Hope
everythings ok. Did you get my crimbo card
