18 - Pregnant - In College - Happy!
Posted: 12-31-07 17:49pm

Hi there Razz. I have been on this forum for a while now, and haven't yet introduced myself. So I figured, I would take the time to do so.

The name is Dezy. I am 18 years old, pregnant, and attending college! I am extremely happy with how my life seems to be falling into place. I am going to college for a Medical Assistant, and later on, going for the big career - a registered nurse (RN). The medical field has always been my calling. I l o v e children, and a career that allows me to work around children is the best career for me! I am in a relationship with the love of my life - the father of my baby - my better half! We have gone through a few rough patches, but never the less, we have kept strong! We are going to be moving into our very own place in a few weeks! So thats very exciting! I love to s h o p! I l o v e makeup! And I love making new friends! Very
Happy

I hope this was entertaining. Feel free to introduce yourself! Wink

Hi Suzy! I've seen you around this forum a few times here and there! So you have a little girl? How precious! How does it feel being a mommy? I find out what I'm having in a week so I'm very excited/anxious! Razz

Well congrats on your little bundle of joy! Do you have any pictures of her that I may see? I was just wondering, being so young and having a baby - do you get allot of stereo-typers? How did your family take it when you broke the exciting news that you where going to be a mommy? Even being 18, my father didn't take it well at all! He still hasn't came around. I feel, as if, I am gaining something so precious in life, yet, I lost something so precious to me - the bond that I once had with my father! Crying

Alright! Can't wait to see em Wink. I found out i was pregnant October 20th (2 days before my birthday). I knew something was wrong when i skipped my period! By the 6th day, i decided to test and BOOM - those two lines where very clear! I couldn't actually believe what i was seeing. I was in denial up until my first ultrasound! (I was 7 weeks along). When I seen this little angel inside of me, seeing its little heart flickering, thats when all questions went away - i was in love! My last ultra sound (12 weeks and 6 days) was my first time seeing the baby move. Now that was exciting! Swimming, tossing and turning. The Dr. had to keep moving the prob! And now, in a week, i find out if its a boy or a girl! I can't wait! I have to say, that is the most exciting part of this experience so far!

I have been with the boyfriend since march! Jan 18th will be our 10 month mark! Do you and Travis plan on getting married? My love is wanting to get married, but as for me, I'd rather just focus on the baby and my career right now! Theres issues in our relationship, just like in any ones, and I'd rather focus on those issues, and make our relationship the best it can be before we really take a wedding into consideration. And any ways - i won't settle for anything but the Cinderella wedding! Wink

Thats very good that your family was very supportive! getting pregnant, has actually brought me and my mother close together! We have had a rough relationship my hole life, but after breaking the news to her that i was pregnant, we have turned over a new leaf! Besides the boyfriend, she is my support system! I love her to death! I don't know what i would have done without her!

So how did Travis family take the news that you where having a bebe?

Sorry - i talk allot Wink

i love how every rabid freak likes to come onto hear and talk crap like they know it all.

Shocked

wow.

ok you two.. seriously need to knock it off.

Being an RN isnt easy. Neither is being a mom. They both take years of dedication and knowledge. Cambion, you are neither, so you dont have much room to talk.
Suzy, you are a mod, act like one.
If you guys can't play nice please dont post.

Welcome Dezy, we're glad to have you here! Anytime you need anything feel free to PM anyone you deem suitable. We're always here to help, and we've been through most anything you can think of. Don't let a couple people who dont know how to behave deter you from posting here. Suzy is usually very supportive i dont know WHAT got into her lol. (we all have our moments.)

Ok I think that comment was uncalled for cambion. Not every 'knocked up' teenager looks for the easy way out. I'm doing a triple major while working my ass off at my current job and taking care of my son. There is nothing easy about what I'm currently doing and what I'm going to do in the future. And being an RN is not an easy job, I don't think anyone ever said it was. Keep your comments to yourself.

Now, moving on.. I'm Jennie, I will be turning 20 in a few weeks and I have a 10 month old. I don't post as much as everyone else but i try to get on whenever I have a free moment! I was pretty much in the same shoes as you when I found out I was pregnant..18, in school etc. Way to go on continuing your education! If you ever want to talk feel free to pm me! Best of luck with your pregnancy!

Thank you very much. I'm not fazed by ignorance and I don't take negativity to heart. It just makes me stronger! I know what I can achieve and I know what I'm capable of doing. So to the ones that doubt, can click the [x] at the top right hand corner and mosey on out of here! And that goes for any one posting negative/rude statements. I may not take it to heart, but I'm sure theres a few out there that are bothered by it! But than again, theres always going to be that batch of "ill mannered" people! They shoot for low-blows!
