Carly's Not Doing So Well!

Well Carly is 7 weeks old this Thursday
and was on the oscillator the first 2
weeks of her life. Then she went to the
conventional vent, 2 failed attempts at
CPAP ( one was bubble CPAP) and is now
back on the oscillator today. She's not
done good over the night. They thought
maybe RSV but they sent a culture to the
lab and it came back negative. Thank God
for that! But the x-ray showed white spots
on both lungs. They started her on 2
antibiotics today for 48 hours at least,
maybe longer if her CBC w/ diff comes back
with pneumonia ( hopefully not though) but
she does have chronic lung disease and
respitory distress syndrome. She has been
on low oxygen for such a long time
(21-30%) and last night was up to 80% and
this afternoon down to 40%. Hopefully this
hardship will pass soon and she'll start
to excel again.

she could just be coming down with a
cold.. its that time of year. GIrl she'll
be ok! Shes stubborn like her mommy!

I promise......if she keeps it up I gonna
spank her whe she gets big enough just for
trying to give mommy a heart attack!
My tension headaches have been gone since
the 19th but after this thing she pulled
they've came back!

Aw, Rachel! God is bigger than this
situation! I'm praying for Carly and for
you. She's been doing so well and looking
so much better! This will pass. God gave
you a little fighter! I'll be praying for
a great nigt sleep for you tonight and
that you will wake up headache free to
great news about your precious little one!

They are slowly weaning her back down on
the HFOV and she staying between 21% which
is room air and 25% oxygen. I haven't seen
her yet today because I cleaning house but
I'll see her later this afternoon. But the
nurse did give a good report.
As of last night she's up to 1pound
10ounces!

goodness it sure seems like its taking
forever to get to 2lbs. maybe you should
have some fat fast food b4 feeding her
lol. im glad shes doing better.
