She's doing good. Still weaning on the
vent. I can't remember what I posted
before so I'll post what I know and it may
be a repeat.
No RSV which is great. But she does have
Chronic Lung Disease from respitory(sp?)
distress syndrome (RDS). No infection came
back on the blood culture which is also
good. They are getting some gunk from her
lungs when they suction her and also some
from her mouth. They say she may have a
touch of a virus or something seeing as
how nothing came back on her CBC w/diff.
But she's still on room air oxygen and I
think she likes the HFOV because it shakes
her whole body and I think it soothes
her.
Up to 1 pound 11 ounces as of last night!
5 more ounces and we hit the 2lb
mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna tear
that NICU down when she hits 2lbs! It's
gonna be party time! That will be our
first big milestone! Well that is unless
shee comes completly off the vent before
then (which I very highly doubt! But
possible! )
So far as of today she has spent 49 days
in the NICU.

I don't know how you do it, my little girl
spent 7 days in the NICU and it was so
hard. You're really strong, your daughter
takes after you =)

Rachel you are so amazingly strong to be
going through this for 49 days already. I
am sure that Carly gets her strength from
you. We all will be tearing it down with
you once she hits the 2lb mark...lol
