Ironic isnt it? I honestly believe you

And this is not a rare phenomenon either.

And as you might strongly feel that
abortion is the right thing to do, i think
its an act out of selfishness! You have
your opinion on that topic - i have mine!
What i am suggesting to "young girls" is
to take care of your responsibility! The
decision to have sex is a huge adult
decision. I strongly feel that if you
believe you are "mature" enough to, lay
down and have sex, you need to be "mature
enough" to know that a pregnancy might
occur. If thats something you cannot
handle, abstinence would be the best
thing!
I like how you, and many others, frown
upon my phrase "keep your legs closed".
Thats the best phrase to state! Its harsh
but real! Theres no reason to "butter" it
up!

I will admit, there are a few posts where
i did, indeed, get a little bit carried
away. But don't just frown on me when
theres plenty of people on this abortion
thread stating "insulting" comments! At
least i was "mature" enough to go back and
admit that this abortion debate has gotten
outrageously out of hand!
In my opinion, I feel its pretty
"pathetic" that someone could use the term
"homicide my poor unborn baby". But once
again, that is my opinion! The way you may
feel, isn't going to interfere with the
way i feel on this tpic and vice versa!
Once again, this is just a revolving
circle! My outlook on this topic will
remain the same - 100% pro-life! If you do
not have anything "original" to state,
keep it to yourself or post in another
thread. I'm exhausted with having to
"state" the same comments numerous times.
Let there be a different argument to
argue!

OK, first of all I will put it to you that
consenting to sex is not consenting to
give up all rights to your body for nine
months to carry a foreign object that will
feed from your organs. So, if consenting
to sex equates consenting to not being
allowed to resolve the possible result
(pregnancy resolved by abortion), I will
give you some more hypotheses:
Consenting to driving a car must mean
consenting to crash as it's a possible
result, so such people should not have the
right to resolve this issue and wait and
die;
Consenting to having sex must mean
consenting to catching an STD as it's a
possible result, so such people should not
have the right to resolve this issue and
let their penis rot and drop off;
Consenting to getting married "in sickness
and in health, for as long as you both shall
live must mean consenting to remain
in matrimony until death and not getting a
divorce, even if your husband is beating
and cheating on you, as this is a possible
result;
Consenting to cook using a frying pan must
mean consenting to the possibility of the
outcome of it catching fire,, therefore
you cannot resolve the issue and let the
kitchen burn.
I won't continue. But can you see how the
argument "you had sex, therefore you
cannot abort" is not very strong?

Ah that's ok then because i don't count as
a "young girl" anymore being the ripe old
age of 29

I'm pretty sure I don't count either. I'm
23. I'm a young WOMAN.
And again, abortion IS taking
responsibility; it's just a choice you
don't like. You don't have to like it,
since it's NOT YOUR CHOICE TO MAKE for
other women. You made your choice for
yourself and you are birthing a child.
Other "young girls" made their decisions
and they aborted. Some gave their child up
for adoption. That is the power of choice.

Exactly Eiri, and whether the OP likes it
or not at this point in my life it would
be more responsible for me to abort than
to gestate a child that i couldn't support
financially or to let it languish in the
adoption system.
It's being responsible my welfare, the
hypothetical fetus and most importantly
the welfare of my existing child who will
ALWAYS be considered before the almighty
fetus.

It isn't that I think abortion is "the
right thing" to do. I don't look at some
other person's life and options and label
which one I think is the "right thing" to
do. The only person who has done that so
far is you, when you claimed that even
though there were "plenty of options",
only ONE was really morally acceptable in
your worldly view.

It isn't your place to decide HOW girls
should take responsibility for their sex
life or pregnancy. You are nobody in the
scheme of things!
Abstinence is the best route, this I know.
But be realistic here. Did you abstain?
No. So I suggest you quit flying that
flag so self-righteously.

Again, it makes you sound like white
trash. Also, I don't really believe that
girls everywhere are just lying around
with their legs open to all the poor,
unsuspecting penises. So you can stop
excluding them from the game.

Star just a thought.. preaching abstinence
when you are pregnant isn't doing your
credibility wonders.
