I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and I just read
that xanax is harmful to a fetus.... I am
so scard. I take zoloft and xanax. I
take the zoloft regulary and was told that
was ok. I only take the xanax as needed.
In the past 3 weeks I have taken about 7
or 8 xanax at .5 mg. Does anyone know how
risky this is. I feel awful!
thanks!

You may want to talk to your doctor. I am
not sure how risky it is, but as with any
medicine you take, you should consult with
your physician.

you didn't know and you can't change the
past, so try to stop worrying (easier said
that done, i know). stop taking the xanax
and talk to your doctor about safer
alternatives.
xanax is a class d drug and during
pregnancy you really want to only take
class a and b drugs (sometimes c if it's
needed).

Before I knew I was pregnant I also took
xanax. I only took 3 or 4 but I was still
very worried about. I asked my doctor
about it at my first appointment and he
told me that as long as I stopped taking
it I should have nothing to worry about.
Just talk to your docotr, I made myself a
nervous wreck just try not to worry about
it.
