Pelvic Pain - Implantation?
Posted: 01-03-08 07:47am

I am worried a little. My husband and I tried to get pregnant for a year and after we visited a reproductive endocrinologist, we found out that there wasn't anything wrong with me (at the very least, anatomically).

Since then, we stopped trying because we just wanted to put it off for about six months for financial reasons (we just prefer to get rid of some debt, no biggie). I have been using NFP. I am six days past ovulation and I'm having some mild pelvic pain. I have never experienced this before?

Am I just freaking?

Was the RE able to offer any suggestions as to why you hadn't gotten pregnant? Did he do a semen analysis and a hormonal screen on you? That has nothing to do with your question, I'm just nosey, feel free to ignore..

Anyway, on the the question at hand. 6 dpo is early enough to feel implantation. Unfortunately, there is just no way to know. (I'm sure you know that) Have you seen a second thermal shift in your temps? Or a slight dip? (neither of these mean much, but they *could mean something) Are you having any other 'symptoms' that make you think you may be pregnant? How long before ovulation was the last time you and dh bd'ed?

Sorry, the only thing I can really say is to give it 3-4 days and test.

~Good luck!

No, we haven't done any blood work or a semen analysis yet. So far we just know that my tubes are not blocked and my ovaries are in fine shape and do make follicles. I honestly have a very low suspicion that anything is wrong.

I actually haven't been temping, just avoiding sex during that certain week where pregnancy is possible. We stopped having sex around two days before I was even slightly fertile. Except New Year's Eve; we had anal sex though so I doubt I could have gotten pregnant then. So far I've just noticed some fatigue and breast tenderness, but that isn't out of the ordinary at this point in my cycle at all-in fact, it's very expected (that's usually how I start PMSing).

I dunno...just seems like it would be my luck that as soon as I want to avoid it for awhile, I get pregnant!

Every woman's cycle is different, even month to month. I had the 28 day cycles with ovulation on day 14 for months and it was easy to avoid getting pregnant. Then it just so happened one month I didn't ovulate until the day I was supposed to start my period and BAM I got pregnant!

You could be pregnant.

My husband and I took 2 years to get pregnant, so it could just be taking you longer too.
