I'm doing 4 things which I think are all
contributing to the least amount of jaw
pain I've ever had. I'll list in the
order of what I think is most effective
for me:
1. I've been taking the non-prescription
medicine Simply Sleep which contains
Diphenhydramine. I take two pills each
containing 25mg, one hour before bedtime.
I think this for some reason is totally
shutting down my grinding and clenching,
although I've never read this to be a
treatment.
2. I sleep on my back. Since the Simply
Sleep makes me tired I think I'm more
likely to stay on my back and not toss and
turn until I fall asleep.
3. I take a B5 supplement(comes in 500mg
but I split it and take half around 5pm
and the other half about 2 hrs before
bedtime.
4. I take a calcium/ magnesium
supplement(one pill at 5pm and the other
pill I take 2 hrs before bedtime with the
B5) I don't have the amount of mg's in
front of me right now.
I've tried this for 7 days and my jaw
feels amazing and this treatment actually
worked the first day I tried it.
