lazy eye from one eye seeing better than other Posted: 01-03-08 18:24pm
So, here's the deal:
I have pretty bad (as far as I know, I
don't know how bad bad vision really is)
vision in my right eye. It's fine for
general stuff, just blurry. It's hard to
read stuff that's more than a ways a way.
Up close, it's fine though. I can read
stuff out of a book or computer and it's
crystal clear. My other eye sees better
as a hole probably, but less well at close
as my eye that sees bad at longer range.
Now, I'm a bit concerned because my sister
had to get a single contact because in one
of her eyes her vision was bad enough that
the doctor people whoever thought that
maybe the brain would start disusing that
eye. I was wondering if I would be
eligible for a similar problem. I think
in her case though, she just had one
really bad eye, whereas in my case, my
eyes just see a bit differently, with one
worse at longer distances. So, I know the
internet isn't the ideal doctor, but is
this something to be worried about. Would
it help to, say, always read stuff with my
eye that's worse at distance (just close
the other) to keep it active? I dunno.
