Hello I was just wondering if I should go to the doctors or not. I was at a party this new years and was hit very hard below my right rib. I didn't feel any real pain tell about yesterday morning. I could barely stand up. I felt around where i was hit and its tight and swollen but there is no bruising at all. Now today my back is starting to hurt directly behind the contact point. I have been hit before around this area but nothing like this has happened. What organs are located there? Any help would be great.

Go have it checked out. If it is nothing serious you will have peace of mind. If it is serious then you can have it treated. Go to the doctor. Good Luck.

Um, that's not good. Under the right rib would be about where ur right kidney is. I do mixed martial arts and I know for a fact that people dread the kidney punch with a passion. Its also the most dreaded punch in boxing. And since u were at a party, I'm assuming it was a bareknuckle punch and not a gloved punch. That's pretty serious, go see da doctor before it gets bad.
