That's a pretty important distinction
MiseEire, and hopefully that's been
understood - confidence doesn't mean rowdy
and extroverted. It just means being
confident and comfortable in who you are.
Someone can be the loud boisterous type
and still reek of insecurity. There's no
one solution to making that step...

Fair enough I guess. I was sorting of
missing the point when I meant confidence
in a negative way. I suppose what I meant
to say is that a lot of people who
describe themselves as confident are
arrogant types. A truly confident, secure
individual doesn't even need to state
themselves as such. You can just tell from
conversing with them.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to
everyone. First let me thank everyone for
the advice. I'll be the first to admit
that I have some serious self-confidence
and esteem issues, so before I ask anyone
out on a date I am going to try and
improve the way that I view myself.
