Hourglass Shaped Penis
Posted: 01-04-08 05:33am

OK so I'm hoping I don't have Peyronie's disease but occasionally when my penis is in a non-erect state it has an hourglass shape to it, this never is present during an erection and there is no pain associated with it, just sometimes when limp its sort of caved in in the middle of the shaft, but usually it appears normally, I don't get it, what gives?

Every single penis in the world is different. Some slant up, down or to the sides. Some bend at all sorts of different angles, and some look as though they've been rotated.

As long as you are healthy, pain free and can urinate/ejactulate without any problems, you're fine. If it does concern you, though, you should talk to your doctor about it.

ahh well that is somewhat enlightening, only reason I was concerned is because this is something new it hasn't been happening my whole life just something I've noticed recently, and I don't have a doc otherwise I probably wouldn't be on this forum but thanks for your response it puts me at ease.

Hourglass shape is a very common symptom of Peyronie's. You obviously know that or you wouldn't be asking. Unfortunately very little is still known about the ailment. It wouldn't hurt for you to (1) keep a close eye on the health, shape, and feel of your penis ... feeling for lumps, pain, nodules, cord-like lesions, etc., (2) find a general practitioner (doctor) to check it out. Seek out the PD forums. Results are far better for those who detect it early. Your other challenge is really that you don't know if you are just dehydrated, back circulation, cold, etc. which effects the shape of your winkie ... or if it is the beginning of something long-term. Don't neglect your buddy. And take it easy on the little guy when you are S-T-M. Don't assume they can't be hurt. Good luck.
