diabetic and kidneys At 13% Posted: 01-04-08 07:48am
Okay hello all. My mom is at 13% with both
her kidneys. They're still dropping. She
is diabetic and she is only 34. What is
there to expect. She is on the waiting
list for new kidneys.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom's
kidneys.
I am speaking from my own experience I am
in stage 3/4 kidney failure.
I get extremely fatigued and weak. I also
develop edema (fluid build up) so I have
to limit the time I am on my feet.
Has her doctor given you any advice? Is
anyone in the family a possible match for
a kidney to give her?
Is she going for dialysis?
You can also check with the American
Kidney Foundation. I don't have their
number with me at the moment but it's easy
to look it up.
