Posted: 01-04-08 08:06am

and I need your help Ladies! Her birthday is February 4rth but we are going to have it on the 3rd!! I dont even know how to go about doing this. I would ask my mom or Joeys Mom for help but then they will try to do it all and um no im not having that lol.

Her party is going to be done in Tinkerbell. Shes also going to be dressed as Tinkerbell Smile
I found a cake that I REALLY love but it will cost me $130 soooo Im going to try to make one like that. I really hope I can. Im going to try to this weekend.

What kind of food should I have there?
How much is too much decorations?

Im thinking about doing a pinita if I could find one thats Tinkerbell. Uhhh I dont know and I have little time to plan. I dont even know where Im
having it yet just not here.

ANY Ideas will be great!

I love the pink punch idea! I wouldnt know how to make it sparkle lol.
Fruit is a good idea too!!

Dani its a fairy cake thats 3 tear (sp?). lol Its at walmart. They have a 2 tear one but it wouldnt be enough cake for everybody because the tear on top is all Amelias lol.
Were inviting somewhere around 50 people. Our family is BIG and they all have something to do with Amelia so I didnt want to not invite someone. I know almost all would come

thats really cute but you can find it cheaper on other sites and with as many ppl as you have coming you should buy in bulk instead of preset packages.

I think you should do that since shes only gunna turn 1 once. you can always do tinkerbell next year

For my sister's 4th birthday, my mom went freaking crazy!!! She did a Princess theme, but did almost all of it herself...she had one of those cling pictures of a huge castle and they made foam picture frames with "Princess Jessica" on them (or whatever the kid's name was) then took their picture in front of the castle and printed the pic for the kids to take home in the frame. Very good idea and decently cheap. You can get the foam stuff at Hobby Lobby. Then she did like those cheap $1 fake silver platters (Dollar Tree) for chocolate covered strawberries and then they did 2 activities, they decorated foam crowns with jewels and they made edible castles!! It was a really good time and all the kids enjoyed it. Maybe this gives you some ideas....sorry I wrote a book!! : )

we are having macys bday the 2nd at the park and i think im gunna rent a clown that face paints, magic shows, and balloon things cuz the bounce house is unnecessary at a park. we are doing Ariel theme. there should be about 15 kids between 3 n 6 so we are gunna play pin the tail on the mermaid and a pinata and maybe a sack race but where would you get sacks? macy likes to jump in pillow cases so i thought other kids would enjoy it.

That one is cute too! You can also buy the things individually so maybe you could by like the plates and thankyous and such that you really need from there and then by balloons, candles etc somewhere else like walmart that would be cheaper... Do you have any party stores in your town? We have a Party America store here that sells tons of stuff and I think its a little cheaper

i think its a cute idea (both)

Amber you can get a full sheet cake from walmart that will feed 50 ppl for probably around $60. PLUS you can have it decorated with a theme from the book of themes they have in the bakery.

Is it going to be an indoor party?
I really love Martha's idea with the sparkling punch, you could also freeze lime green ice cubes (use lime juice, or just a tinytinytiny pit of green food coloring in the ice cube tray), because that's Tink's color. I know for a fact kids LOOOOVE sparkles, so you can try to put them anywhere just to add to the thrill (and it doesn't have to be messy). If price is an object, you could always make your own pinata with papier mache (it's not too difficult, but making a Tinkerbell shape may be...you might have to go with a star or something similar but simpler), or just take a light pink or light green tablecloth and glue sparkles all over that, and you can get those tablecloths for fifty cents. Do that same with sparkles on green and pink balloons, and get them filled with helium...you can also use and silver or sparkly Sharpie and write "Amelia Turns One!" on the balloons.
You can also maybe buy a smaller cake, and then make little cupcakes too, with green and pink icing and maybe a Tinkerbell decal, if you can find one...if not, you could just use cute little color coordinated sprinkles. For an easy activity, you could lay out coloring sheets of Tinkerbell, and the kids could do that for awhile.
Chocolate covered chopped up strawberries are a really cute idea, I say go for fruit and pastries mostly, but in small portions because the kids are little. And acruz suggested the silver serving platters, those are great and you won't have to worry about them breaking...remember, add sparkles to everything! Smile
I'll keep brainstorming.

There are some cute Tink designs there that would look awesome on whatever cake you decide. Keep shopping around til you find something you like...try not to get them specially made if you can help it, those can get expensive.

Not a problem, this is so fun to think about, I'm thinking maybe I should have a Tinkerbell themed sweet sixteen! Smile
