I'm 26 weeks pregnant, now. & yesterday after my doctor's appt. (which went great, btw), I went to Wal-mart. I was holding my daughter & walking through the front part of the store, looking for a cart to put my crying & screaming daughter in (b.c. she saw the arcade Laughing ) Anyways, somewhere in between I slid on water & fell right on my knee & stomach, doing everything in my power not to let my daughter hit the ground... which I very well succeeded in doing. Now I had to fill out a report, and a witness did as well. I felt fine yesterday, besides overwhelmed with embarrassment & Jayden crying even more so after the accident. But today I had light bleeding, & more intense cramping, than usual. My Mom thinks I should go to the hospital, & try to get something for pain & suffering.. me on the otherhand, knows that my baby is completely fine (he's continuing to give me good, strong kicks) & don't feel like going to the hospital for possibly nothing (money-wise)... I don't think they'll give me a thing... what do you think??

with the strong kicks it seems to be ok. my sis did the same thing in target but she immediately went to the office and stated that she slipped on there unmarked floor and they pretty much said for her to go to the er and if they found anything wrong they would settle and if nothing were found then she would not be compensated

Well if I were you then I'd go to the hospital. Did the bleeding and cramping begin after you fell? Or had you been having this for awhile? If it just started after the fall I'd see the doctor. But you know your body better than anyone and since you still feel kicks everything's probably fine. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Unless the bleeding picks up, I'd say your fine. Nice strong kicks is definitely a good sign, but be sure they continue.

Did you land on your stomach? Does anything else hurt? Stupid employees, that's what the 'wet floor' signs are for!!

When I was about 6 months preg with my daughter, I fell off of a chair and the wrought iron back of the chair hit me right in my belly. All of my weight was put on my belly which FREAKED me out!

I didn't have any cramping or bleeding though. I think you should DEF go to the ER and have WalMart be held responsible for the money. (if the area you slipped in wasn't marked for Caution)

It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the unborn baba!!

I would definitely go to the doctors with any kind of cramping and light bleeding. I would go to the ER as well. Better to be safe than sorry.
I am sure everything is fine but you just never know. I don't want to make you too concerned but I want you to be concerned enough to go to the doctors just to check. Is your regular doctor open on saturdays?

I would go see a doctor. Can you just call his/her nerse maybe? They might be able to tell you what to look for if there is danger. Do you have health insurance? If so, most health plans offer a nure hotline thats 24 hours.

Hope your baby is doing great and you too....

Yeah, I would definately go to the ER just to be on the safe side. Walmart should pay the bill. Especially since you are pregnant and you are having some symptoms after the fact that you fell.

I would call my Dr. first I think if I were in your shoes and see what he says. Maybe even go into the hospital to make sure, but idk because it would depend on how I felt and I havent exp. that before so I can't say for sure what I'd do. If your worried tho I'd go get checked out, Wal-Mart should pay if you do. Good strong kicks is deff. a good sign. Hope all goes well. Goodluck! Smile
