Sudden Double Vision
Posted: 01-04-08 21:56pm

My fiance is 28 and has perfect vision. He has never had any health problems and is physically active and eats very healthily.

About two weeks ago, he was playing video games in the evening, his eyes went a little wonky so he went to bed thinking he was just tired. He woke up the next morning with double vision. One image is about 5 inches above the other! It's not getting any better and he's getting headaches all day now from the stress of unfocused images.

When it first happened he wasn't in any pain or discomfort.

When he looks up, the images focus, when he looks straight ahead he sees double.

The optometrist said there's still nothing wrong with his eyes and says it's something to do with the signal not traveling properly from his eye to his brain.

We have an appointment for a neurologist now, but it's making me really nervous!! Crying or Very sad

Does anybody know what this could possibly be!!

Update: A couple days this week he noticed that he could see fine, but only for a few mins (maybe like 15ish.)

Anybody have any ideas? Virus attacking single nerve in brain? Cancer blocking signal? Muscle tear or disslocation?
