I just wanted to thank you for the info on
Eczema, especially as it affects behavior.
I try to keep your wise words in mind
when Hannah is being a turd and I try to
take the Eczema into consideration when
dealing with her some times challenging
behavior. I have reduced her bathing to
every other day or so, and use only water
and a tiny amount of mild soap. I have
started using Aquaphor, and Hannah even
helps slather it on at every diaper
change. Although it's not getting a ton
better, it seems to bother her less. It
also seems to wax and wane. I try to
remember to turn on the humidifier in her
bedroom at night, but i can't always
remember. I wonder if it is keeping her
from napping some days? There are days
that she simply won't sleep, so I wonder
if she's just in there scratchin? Maybe
next time I will give her Benadryl before
her nap time, as it does tend to make her
a little bit drowsy as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you,
because your words echo in my head often
when she's being challenging, and you have
probably saved her from sound
lashing...j/k, but it helps me to reframe
how I react. So thanks from both of us.

I didn't know that Eczema could affect
their behavior.. Ethan has eczema and I
hate it, he never wants to let me put the
cream on him. Sometimes he get a little on
his butt cheek and stands around
scratching his butt. It's kind of funny,
but I feel bad for him.

i put olive oil in eadie's bathwater and
on her skin right after. it makes her
slippery and it's messy sometimes, but
it's gentle and it works. just an idea.

Cool! I always use sweet almond oil-it
does make for a slipery bath tub, though!
