It should say right on the script itself....Take this pill whole, do not break or crush. On those little extra info labels they put on the bottles.

yep it says do not chew or crush because its a timed medication
well geez
i need to sue mr dr. seriously

well tonight was just about the worst night in my entire life
im going to call mr dr in the morning. i need something different

Thank-you for taking the time to look at the bottle. Pharmasists know more about the breakdown of durg componients then doctors do and alway well. I always look at those little stickies cause sometimes it will say "take with food" also or "take on an emtpy stomach. If you continue to take it the right way, you should be alright. I just don't like the drug istelf.

I would ask your doctor why the Wellbutrin website specifically says this:

WELLBUTRIN XL tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew, cut, or crush tablets since doing so may destroy the extended-release properties of the tablet. This may increase the risk of serious side effects.
