I'm going for my ultrasound in less than a half hour and feel really sick from drinking only half as much water as I need too!

Gah! How do I keep it all down!!! Confused

I was told I could drink anything that was clear, soda, juice, tea, etc. I was about 118 lbs at the time and drank the whole 32 oz. that they said I had to drink, and after my appt the girl that did the ultrasound said that I probaby could have got away with less than that. They just want your bladder to be as full as possible so they can see the baby good. Good Luck.

I was told to drink 40 oz, but my I threw up after only 20oz : (

I was scared they'd send me home but the ultrasound went really well! My guess is that they had no problem because I'm so tiny, but I'm so relieved, lol

Thanks for you're help

what?!? ok, first time I've heard of this. I have an appointment, but they didn't say anything about me having to drink before I came in! I understand why, but I'm starting to not like my doctor... even though I've only seen her once...

Really? My doctor's office called me a day before to remind me to have a full bladder (which was probably why I was freaking out that I couldn't keep it down.)

Maybe you should try another doctor, you are going to be stuck with her otherwise for a while : )

ok, well my appointment is still about 2wks away, so hopefully they call me :-\

The closest hospital I go to is 30 minutes away. The closest one after that is over an hour, hour if we really rush. They only have two doctors I can see prenatally and I really don't like male doctors, they just freak me out, always have. So I'm left with the woman who has 500 things on her mind while trying to give me pelvic exam... I still want to slap her for that (didn't warn me, just stuck it in and rooted around, didn't say ONE WORD!! GRR!!)
