We have stray cat in our apartment complex
that no one seems to care for. She is a
little on the thin side and very cute and
sweet. Every time I see her she follows
me home and I can not stand to see her all
dirty and on the streets. I know she
doesn't have anyone taking care of her
since she is always dirty and seems
underfed.
My main issue is that I already have two
cats and one is very jealous of her as it
is. Both of my cats are declawed and this
one is not. I know I can not keep her and
am thinking of finding her a new home.
Any suggestions?

Do you have any friends who could take
her? Or is there an ASPCA in your town you
could call? Not Animal Control, but a
non-kill shelter or service?

I am not sure. I work at a vet hospital
so I know of places in Irvine, but not
near my home. The shelters tend to
mistreat their animals here and i would
prefer to personally rehome her if it came
to that. I should probably talk to the DF
and see what we should do. He feels the
same way about possible keeping her or
finding a new home. She is pretty
independent so I know she would want to go
outside and I have no idea about potty
training. I just bathed her and can see
some scratches on her as well so I know
she gets beat up a bit. She is only about
7 pounds max and is just a tiny build.

Poor thing that's awful! I
guess there isn't anyone in your complex
who would want to take her in if they've
been ignoring her?

Nope. Most people here do not want to
deal with animals. They are allowed but
the deposit is $400. There is a couple
that she hangs around as well. i think
she may just be an outside cat that
belongs to negligent people. I noticed
she has some fleas etc. I just posted an
ad for a found kitty in the area on our
local craigslist and hopefully that will
help.

Well she's a very lucky kitty to have
someone who cares enough to try to do
right by her! I hope you're able to find a
home for her soon

Well I went and asked if it was their cat
and they said yes, but she refuses to stay
indoors. Apparently they keep her
vaccinated and take her in every night
etc. They have tons of cats and they
don't bathe them. I told them she had
fleas and they said she is on a control
but sometimes they jump on and THEN die,
which makes sence since she only had one
or two. I just tole them to watch her
careful since their are other cats around
here who are bigger etc.
