with this type of proceedure the
possibility of nerve damage is slim. just
relax and everythihg will be fine. ive had
4 teeth pulled like this and no nerve
damage. ive had major surgery and no nerve
damage

why you are so convinced? looking the
xrays your dentist could know if there
could be nerve damage , we have to inform
our patients about all the problems that
can occur during surgery and like all
surgeries there exist a remote possibility
of worst complications so if you are
afraid of nerve damage you have to realize
that there are possibilities of hemorrage
,infections and in very rare situations
death but maybe if your tooth is infected,
broken or impacted the risk of leaving
the tooth could be worst than the
possibles complications of this type of
surgery

its just when i had the same tooth pulled
on the other side i had an horrendous
burning in my tongue and down the side of
my cheek for three weeks, the pain was
unbearable and i looked on the internet
for reasons why it should burn and nerve
damage came up, i am just so scared that
it will happen again , it is just an
irrasinal fear but the dentist has said
that the tooth needs to be pulled and the
one beside it filled up with filling
stuff.

if the pain was for three weeks maybe was
due to trauma from extraction a nerve
damage would have let you with a permanent
numbness feeling on that side of the
tongue or in your lower lip and that
quadrant again you have to see the pros
and cons of leaving the tooth vs pros and
cons of extraction..consult with your
dentist and ask for another dentist
