on and off birth control

i was wondering the chances of me being pregnant are. so heres what happened, i started birth control pills nov. 16 and was only on it for about 2 weeks until i couldnt take the side effects any longer so i just quit. me and my bf had unprotected sex about 4 or 5 times after a week i was on the pills. 11 days after i started the pills my doctor gave me a different brand because i had a lot of spotting, i cant remember if i had sex with my bf for the 3 day day before i quit, but i just read you should wait a week before you have unprotected after starting new pills, is that right? i started the pills, nov. 16, the first day of my period and because of the spotting, and then after i got off the pills i bleed 3 days later for about 5 days. now im not sure when i should expect my period, if i count from the last day i bleed i should have had it today. how high are the chances i could be pregnant? and because of the birth control pills does it mess up the first period getting off them?

You do realize even when you're on the birth control pill for years, and have unprotected sex, you can still get pregnant, right? You should never have unprotected sex - ever. Condoms also help protect you against STDs.

Switching birth control will screw up your body a bit, as it adjust to the new levels of hormones. You should wait till your pill is well established before you have sex, because otherwise your gonna worry and worry because you don't intimately know your body yet!

P.S. When in doubt take a home pregnancy test, or go to your doctor.

If you had unprotected sex and didn't listen to the doctor, there is always a chance of you being pregnant.

However, if you bleed, chances are you are NOT pregnant.

Take a test to ease your mind/find out
