For how long you are fighting with this
disease?
Was it lung cancer the initial diagnosis?
Hot flashes, nausea, insomnia and fatigue
are some of the symptoms of a cancer
treatment and usually disturb a person's
sleep.
Do you stay in your bad a whole day?
Can you try to go to bed only when it is
time to sleep (if this is possible due to
your stiffness and pain)
Some medical resources have information
that patients with cancers of the breast
and lung cancer are most vulnerable to
sleep problems and can easily suffer from
long-term insomnia for 6 months or more.
Lying down in bed can also contribute to
feeling stiffness.

Hi Posted: 01-10-08 07:34am
Ive had all of the flashes, nausea and
tiredness the whole time.i was diagnosed
stage four metastic lung cancer in april
of 2007.I had been working the whole time
even with the sleep troubles until
october,i am no longer allowed to pick up
anything over 9 lb.
so ive been at home. I dont always have
trpoiuble sleeping seems like the last
week its been bad.I do not stay in bed,i
make sure i get up and around everyday.I
nap every now and then, but if im having
trouble sleeping at night i do not take a
nap during the day.I have been considering
sleeping in my recliner, but to me thats
like admitting im sick and its hard to lay
down.
have you ever tried thosememory foam bed
pad things?im wondering if they would help
the stiffness

Hi, buffyhelp! Posted: 01-21-08 04:49am
No need for apologies!
How do you feel today? Do you feel pains
all over your body?
Almost 80% percent of cancer patients have
fatigue as the most commonly experienced
side effect of their cancer. It can be
short-term or long-term and can have a
profound negative impact on patient's
quality of life.
Stiffness is one of the warning signs of
fatigue in cancer patients.
There are few causes you may feel tired:
As I mentioned in my previous post it can
be due to cancer treatment, depression or
anxiety, sleep disturbances, decreased
appetite, changes in activity, overactive
state due to tumor growth, toxicities of
cancer.
I'm not sure if Memory Foam Mattress Pads
can be a significant help in your cases,
but you can try it.
