Well i have a huge question for you
girls.
Do you think you can drink alcool when you
are pregnant. Some doctors say you can
drink a glass of wine. Me no alcool at all
when im pregnant.
I remember when i was pregnant, i went to
a christmas party, and some uncle wanted
me to take one sipe of champagne to
celebrate. I felt so bad i took one sipe
and felt guilty because i told myself my
baby was gonna sick.
What do you think

i think that there is possibly a safe
amount to drink and a safe time to
drink....
but that being said, no one can determine
what that is so its never until someone
can figure it out definitivly
for me, even if they knew i wouldnt drink

Martiny, I was the same way when I was
pregnant. I was told that it was not
known if there was a safe amount to drink,
so the advice was not to drink anything.
This was 10 years ago, so I don't know if
there is new research or not.

My doctor gave me the ok to drink a glass
of wine every night to help me sleep and
relax. I don't like wine a whole lot, but
wine or champagne in moderation isn't
going to harm your baby. It just depends
on what you are comfortable with.
I do have a drink now and then, but not
even once a week. I just don't need to
feel more tired than I already do. But
I've always had something to drink every
once in a while in all of my pregnancies
and all 5 of my children are healthy and
too smart for their own good lol.

lol! I think back to pregnant women in
the 50's and 60's and even 1970's, they
drank, smoked, and did all kinds of
unhealthy stuff. They look at us like we
are nuts for being so careful.
They also got sorta knocked out while
giving birth, the lucky buggers!

I just read some info about "twilight"
birthing when the mother was supposedly
knocked out. They weren't knocked out,
just their memories were. SCARY STUFF!!!
They were tied to the bed and had gauze
wrapped around where the restraints were
so they wouldn't have telltale bruising.
They thrashed around screaming in pain,
but they didn't remember it. YIKES.

Oh my goodness! I don't think I want to
remember my other deliveries, but that
sounds terrible. Very very scary. Pass
the bottle.

I'm 18 and my doctor told me it's ok to
drink wine.
No alcohol for me. Before, during or after
pregnancy.

okay to drink during your pregnancy

Doctor's advise people under 18 not to
smoke or to cut back during pregnancy.
Legally they shouldn't smoke either but it
don't stop the doctor from informing them.

during my mom's Christmas party, there was
of course wine. my sister (who just
recently gave birth) told me it's okay to
have one glass, because I was complaining
I couldn't . But I gave her the
most evil look saying 'are you nuts?!?' I
guess it is a little safe if mominashoe
has 5 healthy babies that grew with
alcohol. But of course, I'm a health nut
so no alcohol for me! But that doesn't
keep me from smelling it!! (like my ONLY
craving so far )

Regardless of age, at my job it's
mandatory to inform pregnant patients of
the pro's and con's of smoking and
drinking. If a patient is 16 and they tell
us that do smoke we advise them to stop or
to cut back. If a patient is 18 and they
tell us that they drink we tell them the
certain things that they can drink while
pregnant. We can't be with them 24/7 but
it's our job to tell them the consequences
of their actions.
