You're fine- she can be late one day and
you're still protected.
Because she was late she might get some
spotting or something.

because although its very very rare i know
someone who got pregnant and took her BC
at the same time everyday

stomach pains arent a big sign of being
pregnant, missing a period, nausea,
fatigue, increase of hunger, ect. those
are signs of a pregnancy. I have gotten
pregnant not once, but twice on two
different types of B/C pills and i took
them on time every day, never missed a
MINUTE. But, i dont think your friend is
pregnant, if she still thinks she is after
a week or two, i would advise taking a
good quality pregnancy test such as EPT.

If someone gets pregnant on birth control
and they are taking it perfectly, they are
in the 1-3% of women that make up the
failure rate. I know it happens, but it's
not common. But the girls are right, it
does happen, so if a baby would be a big
problem for you and/or you aren't willing
to have an abortion, using condoms as well
might be a good plan.
For me, the 1-3% risk is ok.
It is more likely, if someone gets
pregnant on birth control, that either
they weren't taking it correctly, or they
were taking a medication that interfered,
or they missed pills due to throwing
up/diarrhea, or something like that.
