Q: 1st Ultrasound At 7 Weeks!

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share that I had my 1st ultrasound on Wed. As you may recall, I had IVF and they transferred 2 embryos on Dec 8th. Well...the ultrasound showed 1 healthy baby! S/he measured exactly 1 cm which is exactly where you should be at 7 weeks. I could hear the heart beat...it was very moving. You hear everyone talk about their ultrasound experiences...and think "neat"....but when you actually see your own little baby's heart beating away it brings tears to your eyes. DH was quite emotional (and very relieved to see just one heartbeat) Wink

I pray pray pray that this baby makes the whole 9 months.
I tried to attach a photo of the ultrasound...but there are no instructions on how to do so...and every attempt I made on my own doesn't seem to work. If any of you could tell me how, I would appreciate it...then you can see the scan for yourself!!

Cheers
Cheryl

that's wonderful! congratulations! i wish you a happy and healthy 9 months.

as for pictures, i use imagecave. just upload your pics and make sure they're resized (300x400 is a good size), then paste the EZ-code into your post and that should do it. there's a sticky post at the top in the parenting forum (i think) that explains how to do it.

I guess you can't see much....oh well. It's tuff to scan those suckers. It either shows up to light or too dark.
The baby is in between the plus signs

Oh thank you so much. I've been laying low these days. I've been feeling quite sick. As soon as I hit 6 weeks, I started getting strong food aversions....then at week 7, major nausea. Now its tough finding food that appeals to me, as it changes on a daily basis! No complaints, it's all a crazy-fun experience.

How are you doing?

Awesome! I read your other message about the embryo transfer and didn't see anything else so I got worried. Glad it worked out for you! How excited you must be. I just learned 2 days ago that my husband has fertility issues and we may have to have a lab procedure as well and I'm absolutely terrified! I'm sure I'll be on the forum posting my whole journey like you did. Stay healthy and keep us all updated - k
