Getting sleep with a newborn is easier said than done! LOL!...you're so tired, you're OVER tired!!! And before ya know it the lil one is up needing something!!

When Oni was little, during the day, I slept when she slept! How I'm gonna nap with this one...I don't know! LOL!!

maybe try simethicone drops. they come in different brand names like ovol. i don't know how young they can take them but our doc recommended them for eadie when she was about 1 month old. also make sure she is feeding long enough on each breast so she gets enough hindmilk to slow her digestion down. it cuts down on gas quite a bit. eadie only ever needed one breast at each feeding because i had a lot of milk.

get some sleep! it's hard when you want "me" time isn't it? sleep just isn't the same as being able to relax and do the things you used to do. but try to get some sleep before it really catches up with you.

are her poops hard? or are they bubbly and watery? you can give her a little water as she may be a little dehydrated. eadie takes water from a cup but you could also use a dropper. also, drinking more water yourself and maybe a little prune juice could help. prune juice isn't that great but i just water it down and it's drinkable. my doc suggested that and it helped a lot.

Why weren't you able to breast feed any longer? Just wondering. I wasn't sure if you posted about it before or not.

No! i was expressing every 3 hours but it just got less and less!! i just wasnt producing enough to satisfy her hunger.

I started expressing because it just got too painful for me when she latched on. I cried more breastfeeding than i did having her!! Shocked it was affecting how i felt about her and because i have a history of depression we thought it was best that i stop.

i still feel very selfish though! Sad

We have been giving her water cause it is very hot here at the moment. Gave her heaps yesterday but she still pushed out a little 'nugget' last night!! the pooh after was a sloppy one though!! It must have done the job because she has been asleep for a while now!!!

ok...i'll stop talking pooh now!!!! Laughing

Ah don't feel selfish. SOmetimes you got to do what you have to do. At least now you can hopefully bond better with her. Smile
