Pain When Arroused! Posted: 01-13-08 23:18pm
This has been going on for a year or
longer. When I become sexually arroused
(particularly if it's been a week or so
since I've had sexual intercourse), it
aches 'down there' very intensely...
usually lasts for only a few minutes and
then goes away. But seems like lately the
pain/ache is worse - even more intense
than usual, and I'm a little worried.
Could there be something very wrong with
me?
Again, this is NOT pain due to lack of
wettness/lubrication during sex. It's an
intense pain/ache that occurs during
arrousal.
Please, help?

By arrousal, I mean sexually excited.
Turned on. You know how when something
turns you on and you get wet? Well that's
what I mean. When I get extremely turned
on, I have pain that lasts for a minute or
so... It fades eventually but seems like
lately it's been more intense.
I recently did a search and came up with
the term "vasocongestion". I think it may
be that, but still... it's odd. Haven't
heard anyone else talk of dealing with
this. Thought someone in this forum might
have some helpful input.
I do plan to ask the doc at my next visit.
Embarassing though...

Oh. And as for a situation in which it'd
occur:
Husband and I have foreplay. I get turned
on, during which time the pain occurs. We
start having sex, and after maybe a few
minutes into it, the aching fades and I
can enjoy myself without the discomfort.
