Just wondering if anyone else has experience lots and lots of braxton hicks contractions near the end. I am 36.5 weeks along and I have probably at least5-6 throughout the day if not more. They are not painful, for th emost part, and are irregular, so I know its not labor.
But I cant help but get excited thinking that maybe labor is on its way soon????
Or will I most likely go on like this for the next 3 weeks.
I am also having complications with elevated HR and BP, so I am at a slight preterm/early delivery risk.
I am realy hoping all these braxton hicks is a sign I will go into real labor soon.

Braxton Hicks are normally a sign of dehydration.

They can last for weeks and weeks! Some people experience them starting at 28 weeks, till the day they give birth!

Drink plenty of water!!

Is your Dr still thinking about inducing you?

i don't think 5-6 BH a day is "lots and lots". i have more than that now and i'm only 28 weeks (no, i'm not dehydrated).

i had them a lot at the end of my last pregnancy and went 3 days over before i was induced. i also had high BP, i wonder if that could have something to do with it?

like sarah said, dehydration is also a cause so make sure you're drinking plenty of water.

5-6 a day is nothing at all. I started getting them around 17 weeks. I remember back after that calling my doctor because I was getting them like every 10 minutes. It's normal for you to get them now. Your body is preparing to have the baby.

ya I see it doesnt sound like a lot. I get 5-6 at a time throughout the day. Usually every hour I am experiencing them. And I am not dehydrated, although I am always thirsty. But regardless sounds like I could get them for the next 3 weeks. Boo.
Induction is still in the air. Went for fetal monitoring or NST for baby, and my BP was still elevated. My blood work normalized a little bit. But I know have to go to fetal monitoring twice a week.
I hope all you ladies are doing well. Thanks for the info.
