When to Take a Test

I just had a baby and I had unprotected
sex on the first. When should I take a
test?

I don't know I just had a baby, I think I
had one that started on the 3 or 4 and it
wasn't just spotting it was heavy but I'm
not sure.. But as for knowing when my
period is due, I don't know since I just
had a baby 7 weeks ago and I'm
breastfeeding.

take a test after you miss your period or
in 4 weeks
|

consideration that sperm can survive in
you for up to 5 days

Well the doctor said I could take a test
in 2 weeks when I went for my check up.
But I just wanted other opinions, even if
it was the doctor.

just wait the two weeks! are you TRYING to
get pregnant again only 7 weeks after
having a baby?
since you dont know when your period is
due, it makes it kinda hard to determine
when/if you ovulated

I'd say go ahead and test. It could be
positive by now. However, if it is
negative, you will need to retest.

its really dangerous for you and the baby
to get pregnant so soon after.
if you find out your pregnant i would
highly suggest getting alot of vitamins
and seeing a doctor asap.

I took the test today and it was negatve,
today it was exactly two weeks, should I
take another in another 2 weeks?

I would suggest that you retest, just to
put your mind at ease. If you get a
negative in two weeks, you can trust that
result.
Mistakes happen hun, try not to worry
about it now. What's done is done, all you
can do is learn from it. Trust me, you are
not the first person for this to happen
to!
And congrats on your son. Hes very
handsome.
Have you spoken to your doctor about going
on birth control yet? If you have any
questions about your options, we would be
more then willing to help.
