fatty tissue in groin after hernia effecting penis Posted: 01-16-08 15:02pm
I had a inguinal hernia op in early 2004,
almost 4 years ago now and had a mesh
fitted. Before i had the op, i went to the
Doctors to report that my penis seemed to
be retreating into my body!! It was quite
alarming, it was almost as if the growth
of the hernia was pulling my penis in very
slowly in some strange way. The Doc said
not to worry, it may be the growth of the
hernia was pulling at the penis area which
he said actually went into your body or
something like that.
I left it, had the op but three years on
im left with 2 issues - the area just
above my groin, both left and right sides
are quite fat and also my poor wee penis
still seems to nestle into the mass
without much sticking out. By the way, no
problems on the erection front , its just
when it is hanging, its strange.
My weight has always been about the same,
pre and post op so dont think it can be to
do with just getting fatter befcuase it
justs seems to be in the groin area it is
noticable.
I went back to 2 Docs after the op who
basically said it will solve itself - it
hasnt and it is an embarassment - this is
the first time i have spoken about it- has
anyone else out there had similar issues
after their hernia op?
Thank You
Embarrassed.

Hi
Don't be embarrassed!!!
It sounds like you are having a problem
from the mesh the doctor used to repair
your hernia and scar tissue. I mentioned
this in other posts.
Many people are suffering severe pain and
other complications from hernia mesh
repairs.
Do a search on hernia meshes when you have
time. I have spoken to a lot of people
male and female who are suffering in many
ways and some of the men mention this same
thing you are talking about. I also spoke
to some doctors who are studying the "bad
meshes."
