That's $40 a month and $480 a year. It adds up!

yes, but an average of 1000-1200 a month, it's still chump change. Besides I'm sure I spend more on my snackies than he does on smoking. Again it's a habit that makes him happy and in turn makes me happy because he's really the only one I see day in and day out.

It's a lot better than a pack of cigarettes a day, which is more than $3 a pack.

Anything you buy on a daily/weekly basis adds up. I understand it would be nice for him to quit, but I don't want an angry/upset Earl in the house. Plus he does it outside so it's not like he's endangering my life/baby's life.

I never complained about not having food. I only said I couldn't cook any because we didn't have water, but now we do and I can cook again. And how where you trying to help me? you've only asked questions then said Earl would have to quit smoking and turn off the internet for everything to run smoothly...

Where to start?

Not that big of deal, but we are currently at the end of our ropes for money. We still have not bought food for this week, I still can't figure out what they have been eating during the day. But Earl's mom gave us some deer meat (they have about 3 full deer in a freezer, processed of course) when we were there. They live 400 miles away, so it's not like we can go get more. So I've cooked that for the past two days. Which that's it, plus I've been eating my oranges and down to my last apple, so I'm not sure what else there is.

I'm getting dehydrated.

There it is. I was giving you tips on how to cut back and have a little extra cash.

ok so I did a little. But not to the point where we were starving. Like I said we have plenty, just hard to cook with no water.

For some reason, we always seem to be broke by the week's end. Anyone else seem that way? I think it's because since we have it, we think we have to spend it. I try my hardest to keep us from spending it, and when he has a bigger paycheck, it usually works. We always seem to do better on buying food when we are struggling for money, if that makes any sense.

Thank you for you help though.

He lives with Earl's parents up in the northern panhandle of WV. (PA and OH are both 5 minutes away) Everyday expenses his parents pay for, and Earl will occasionally reimburse them, especially with his taxes. Earl pays for his clothes and big things like that. He comes down during the summer, so this should be interesting with the new baby Very
Happy We go up once a month (not now, he doesn't want me traveling, but he's still going) to see him and spend the weekend with him. For as much as he doesn't see his dad, I'm surprised at how attached he is to him. and as soon as we can support ourselves completely and he's off his CHIP, he's gonna move down with us for good, which I'm looking forward to.
