You are not supposed to have sex until 6
weeks after you deliver. If you want a
second opinion, call your doctor and ask.
They are here to answer your questions

Having sex too soon after you deliver puts
you at high risk for infection. No doctor
will ok sex until after 4 weeks and you
should wait for at least 6 weeks to make
sure you are healed and healthy.

and since you cant take bc yet theres
always the chance of pregnancy. You
wouldnt wanna get prenant again so soon
since your body needs time to recover from
your last pregnancy
Congrats on your daughter btw

i had sex 3 days after giving birth but it
doesn't mean that it is ok. I had no cuts,
tears or anythhing so physically it didn't
hurt but I would always listen to your
doctors advice

i didn't have sex for 4 months after my
first baby.....i had my second baby 8 days
ago, and i feel horney now...but my
husband won't touch me
I would wait a full 6 weeks as my Dr. has
told me to do. This gives my body time to
heal and I'll be less prone to infection.
I had a all natural vaginal birth,
episiotomy, 3rd degree tear and had
stitches too. I go in for my 6 week
appointment on Feb. 20th. Then... I might
think of having sex, thankyou.

oh yes... I intend to wait......I think it
would still hurt too much. I noticed the
other day when I went to the washroom,
when I wiped some pieces of the
dissolvable stitiches were in the toilet
paper, so thing must be starting to get
back to normal. Its funny though, sex
replused me before with me first, and I
already want it this time.
I have my check up scheduled for feb 22.
newmommy- are you still bleeding at all??
Mine somedays is gone, and the next day I
have to wear a pantyliner....weird....

you are supposed to wait 6 weeks you could
do some damage to your insides even if the
stitches disolved, theres a reason why
they say wait but talk to your doctor,
although im pretty sure he'll say for you
to wait.
