Burning pain in soles of feet Posted: 01-18-08 23:14pm
I'm 19 years old. Since I began working at
age 16, I've held jobs that required a lot
of standing. After the first few months,
the skin on the soles of my feet, mainly
on my heels, began to feel compressed and
painful. It's hard to describe. It is
*not* the bones, but the tissue itself.
Whenever I am standing still for more than
five or ten minutes, even in well-padded
shoes, this pain begins. If I lift my foot
and relieve the pressure, the pain eases,
but as soon as I put weight back on it, it
burns and tingles again. I have tried
every shoe insert I can find. They helped,
but I still get the pain. When I am
walking or moving around the pain is less
severe.
I've looked everywhere and asked around,
but no one seems to know what I'm talking
about. It feels like when you swing your
arms around and all the blood goes to the
ends of your fingers and makes them
swollen and tingly, except my feet aren't
swollen. My feet are completely healthy
and normal except for the soles. It is not
the outer skin that burns but the tissue,
when it is compressed from standing. When
I get up in the morning, the first time I
stand up the tingling burning sensation is
more intense.
I have not yet tried a doctor because I
don't have good insurance, and I was
hoping I could find out why it hurt. But
it is getting to the point that I think it
might be a nerve problem or a medical
condition.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sorry that the sole of your feet hurt. I
can understand what you are talking about
because I know someone who had similar
conditions in his hands and feet. He had
paresthesia due to nerve compression. He
mentioned that taking certain drugs and
having alcohol beverage made his
conditions worse; and taking Vitamins B9
(folic acid) and B12 might have helped.
His painful sole of feet finally
disappeared after he stopped taking a
certain drug. Visit the 3 links below or
