thats tough,
my mom cheated on my dad with her cousin's
husband [who is my step dad now]
and told him she didnt love or want to be
with him on the 23rd of december! just a
couple days before christmas.
but my mom is always so angry with my dad,
when it really should be my dad that has
all this anger against her, but hes always
civil to her.

I am so sorry for your (and your kids')
loss. That is hard. Not being in a
relationship with you as your significant
other is probably how this poll should
have been worded, because I'm sure that's
what the author of this thread meant. So,
Ayrshire, and AMomof3, I'll put you down
as left. If you don't think that's right,
let me know and I'll change it.

My boyfriend stayed. We got married when I
was pregnant with our first son. We have
been married a little over 2 years.

Was that a surprise? When you decided to
have the baby was he supportive then?
What was his excuse for leaving?
What about child support? Does he help
you
financially? |
He only left right before Christmas. We
had a big falling out where he showed he
had more hormones than me, and I'm the
pregnant one! He was VERY supportive in me
keeping the baby. He WANTED me to keep
her. He left because I wanted to know if
our relationship was going anywhere and he
said "no." Once the baby is born YES he
will be paying child support but now he's
requesting a paternity test so guess they
have to do that first

Especially one that he wanted! How could
a man want a woman to have his baby, but
not want a permanent relationship with
her? That doesn't sound logical. UGH! I
am so sorry that happened.

I guess I'm misunderstanding this
thread... at what point does it 'count'
when he left you... when you found out you
were pregnant? Before delivery? After
delivery? When the kid was a few
months/years old?
Because I'll bet the amount of people
(teens) who end up as single parents
(eventually) is probably astronomically
high!

Oh my! I'm so sorry that happened, but
I'm glad to have a male perspective on
this thread, so thanks for sharing.
So what happened?

wrote the story of it all on the "tell us
your story" thread so i wont repeat it
all. generally though she just never
wanted to have the baby, but kept the
pregnancy cause i couldn't deal with the
prospect of abortion.

13, she had told me that she was getting
an abortion which really upset me
(catholic upbringing has led me towards
pro life views). I broke up with her
because she was planning on doing that to
my son.
In her 7th month of being pregnant I got
home from school to find her very much
pregnant in my house having afternoon tea
with my mother (hadn't told mum about it
at all) I was ultra upset and pissed off
that I had gone through the last few
months mourning the loss of my baby
without her thinking of perhaps telling
me.
We decided that neither of us would be
able to look after him properly as we were
so young and didn't have the time or the
money to invest into a baby, and since I
had a 2 year old step brother we decided
that my mother would adopt him and raise
him along my other brother as her own.
I live on the other side of the world now,
but I'm barely on speaking terms with the
mother and she's only seen my son once
since she gave birth to him despite her
wishing to see him more, he's 5 in April
and the best thing that's ever happened to
me, even if he doesn't know I'm his
Dad. |
