39 Week Appt!!!

Sooo...I had my 39 week appt today.
(though I really make 39 weeks
tomorrow...but yall know this by now!)
And he measured my belly...still at 39cm.
And he proceeded to check me...
Well, as he was checking me, he asked me
"have you been having any
contractions/discomfort?"
And I said "nope, not at all. Well besides
the bowling ball between the legs, none at
all."
He says "hmmmm...." Now while he's asking
and I'm answering, he's pushing down HARD
on the top of my belly and wriggling his
fingers around in there.
Do you think he was trying to sweep my
membranes?????
Well anyways, after he finishes, he says
"She's ripe and ready to go!"
And I said "well what does that mean?"
he says "your baby's head is fully
engaged, your cervix is VERY thinned out,
and you're dilated to about 2cm...you're
on the VERGE of labor! Are you SURE you
don't wanna go to the hospital today?"
I said "Doc.........I"m sure  "
He then gives me the protocol for
contractions to head to the hospital. And
I just ignored him cuz I mean come on...I
think I have an idea of what to expect...
OH! And I went across the street and
checked out the hospital. They DON'T have
bathtubs...and you should have SEEN the
look I got when I asked if I could bring a
kiddie pool in...so I guess that's out...
And they'll supply me with a birthing
ball, but I can bring my own if I'd like!

the same hospital Oni was delivered in? He
wanted u to go do what exactly at the
hospital? is he deaf? Apparently he missed
the no drugs in your system AT ALL memo

Nah Dani..it's a different one. I COULD
have had Oni at this one, I just chose the
other office!
But yea, he's such a douche when it comes
to the induction thing!!
The CRAZY thing is, I was talkin to this
lady in the waiting room and he REFUSED to
induce her with her 1st! She was a week
over due and he STILL refused!!
So I WONDER why the hell he is harassing
ME about it!!???
Oh, do you think he was sweeping my
membranes when he was digging up there
pushing on the top of my belly. He'd never
done that before when he checked me!

when i had my membranes swept with liam it
was quick and i didnt feel ne thing but i
guess it was longer than a usual check,
the way he acts i really wouldnt doubt it!

Seriously...he didn't say 'oh imma sweep
your membranes...' so I didn't know WHAT
he was doin.
But once I got up, I was like "that health
questions...I BET he was tring to get my
bag o water to come down so he could sweep
em!!"
It was just weird cuz he was up there for
a while and pushing SOO hard on the top of

Wow hopefully you have that little girl
soon! He might've been
sweeping your membranes, but most doctors
I'd think would tell you if they did that.
