Sorry about the long wait guys. There
shall be no baby today. Apparently my body
is just leaking a buttload of clear watery
discharge. Yeah, uh-huh. I am 4.5 cm now
and 90% effaced and of course was having
horrible contractions when I left. The
nurse felt so bad. She even called the doc
back for me and asked him to talk directly
too me because I was so upset. What did he
do? He refused to effing call me. He said
that I have an appointment tomorrow and we
can discuss a plan of care then. That's
fine and dandy for him but he's not the
one that has contractions all day
everyday. He's not the one that keeps
going to L&D and is going to have pay
20% of all this crap. This is the 10th
visit btw. He needs to let me squeeze his
freaking penis every time I have a
contraction and then decide not to keep
me. He has already made his plan quite
clear. Induction at 38 weeks. Only thing
is he wants to do it next week and not
Friday because that would cut in on his
weekend. Well, he doesn't come out and say
that but I know that's what it is. His
office closes on 12 Fridays. I am so
freaking pissed right now. I just feel
like crying. I can't keep having
contractions like this. I'm worn out as it
is and there's absolutely nothing that he
can or will do for me. I just don't know-I
really feel like dying right now.

doctor, I like the idea of squeezing his

SEX. Tell your husband he is doing this or
he has to live with you pregnant. Possibly
forever.
The ball. Continue rolling your hips open
on the ball. SIT UP as much as possible.
Reclining is your enemy to get this labor
going. Walking is good. But you could
exhaust yourself. The ball is good. Also a
kitchen chair, you can sit upright but
kind of lean over the back of the chair.
You could get enough gravity action to get
this baby out before your doctor gets to
choose for you.

Apparently my contractions are of no
concern unless my cervix is changing more.
Yeah, I get that's the definition of labor
and all but this is getting ridiculous.
This is one of the many reasons my blood
pressure is up. Pain causes increased
blood pressure. I totally hate this man.

Sex is about the only thing we haven't
done since last week. Mainly because I've
been in so much pain. We might have to do
that tonight though when he gits home. I
do sit up mostly and I have been using the
ball. I just dont' know.

But your cervix is changing. You are now
at 4.5 cm and that is plenty far enough
dilated to break your water and start your
labor that way - without pitocin and all
that. Additionally, it gives 24 hours to
get it done... so there is a time limit,
but you are already quite a bit dilated.

My mom and I argued that too. Obviously he
doesn't think it's enough change. Instead,
he wants me to go home and come to the
office tomorrow. I swear I'm gonna kick
the man while I'm in labor.

I went through something similar to this
with my daughter O.o. I know it wont
matter to you now, but on the bright side
of this, once labor REALLY gets into gear
you're already half way there ^^. I really
think they should have just broke your bag
of water and let you go.

But 4.5 is 1/2 way there.
Squats also work. It isn't going to feel
comfortable - it isn't supposed to. You
are getting this baby out. I'm kind of
shocked that when they check you your
waters haven't broken. Because 4.5 is
quite far to be dilated and just be
hanging out at home.
Keep doing the upright thing. Keep her
head right on your cervix and that will
get this going.

mad squats and get on my ball. I'm about
to starve now. At least I am feeling a
little more comfortable going med free.
I'm halfway there now so it makes me feel
like I can really do this.
