Total failure with condoms Posted: 01-22-08 18:02pm
Hi,
Almost every single time I have used a
condom, it has either:
a) Come off during sex and is found on the
bed or wherever
b) Come off during sex inside the woman
c) Is completely split open so that the
condom just is left circled around the
base of the penis.
a) has happened about five times, b) has
happened about three times, and c) has
happened about three times. There's been a
few of other times wearing a condom when
none of these happens, but all of those I
stopped before ejaculation. In fact, I
have NEVER came inside a condom, I haven't
really bloody had the chance! All other
times I've had sex it has been with my
ex-girlfriend on the pill. Before her I
was not sexually active, however I am now,
and not with the same partner. One day it
could really turn out with bad
repercussions.
What the hell am I doing wrong? I know how
to put them on, and follow the
instructions exactly. Get rid of that
bubble at the top. Etc. I swear I'm doing
it right as do the girls.
I despise condoms, they're supposed to
work! I am slightly above average size
(7") but nothing that should cause me to
get specialist condoms! And the condom
seems to fit fine at the start. We only
ever notice the condom has gone
walkabout/broken some time after it has
happened, which is pretty bad as I'm sure
you can imagine.
Hope you can help, this has happened so
often, esp. recently now that I'm not with
my ex, that it has become beyond a joke.
Cheers

try different brands? I think there are
extra durable condoms on the market. There
are natural skin condoms on the market
(they smell pretty badly by the way) but
they are not flexible, maybe that would do
it.

No- You're not supposed to get rid of the
bubble at the top, you want a bubble at
the top. That's where the semen goes when
you ejaculate. So hold the tip while you
put it on, and hold it so that there is
still a generous bubble there once it's
on. And always use lube with the condoms
(water based, not oil, will probably say
"safe for condoms" on it) because that
reduces friction between condom and
vagina, and will keep it from pulling off
or tearing.

You misinterpreted my post. I do hold the
tip, that's what I meant, not actually get
rid of the bubble, jsut squeeze the air
out while putting it on.

oh I see.
Do you use lube? That might help too. And
maybe try a larger condom, just see if it
works better. And practice putting it on
by yourself. I don't know, if you keep
having that problem, I guess you'll need
to look into other forms of protection-
maybe female condoms?

i think lubrication might be the issue. if
there is too much friction this could
cause the condom to break. buy some lube!
dont use it on the outside of the condom
though not on the inside. otherwise you
will encounter more problems

You are supposed to put the lube on the
outside. I think her "don't" was a typo.

sorry yes it was a typo!!!
use the lube on the outside of the condom
or your girl can put it in her vagina.
