Q: Pains when walking

I went to the fair over the weekend and I did not do much walking. I only went there with my fiance to get 2 corn dogs. I am 35 weeks pregnant and when I walked I started to get these sharp pains in my vaginal area and it seemed that the more steps I took the stronger the pains got. I stopped and rested after I got my corn dogs and after 5 minutes I was able to get back up and walk back to the car. Has anyone experienced this or no what it was? I have a ob appointment on 01/28/08 but I was just curious.

I get those pains now (at 39 weeks) and have been since about 36-37 weeks. I can't be much help as to telling what is causing them... but just know you're not the only one and nothing serious has happened to me so I don't THINK it's anything to worry about.

I had those pains throughout my pregnancy and I just had my son on the 9th of Jan and I turned out fine so I don't think its a concern for you to be worried about unless it becomes inbareable or something. I think you should continue to walk, yes. I did and my Dr. recomended that I walk as often as I felt up to it. Goodluck with the rest of your pregnancy! Smile

Thanks Smile Sometimes I don't even feel like getting out of the bed. I have been extremely tired lately. I make myself walk and I don't overdue it but man those pains were something else. LOL ohwell what can you do.

yes, walking is good. It can make for and easier, faster delivery. I know what you mean about not wanting to get out of bed lol... I do the same thing...There really isn't anything to do but just wait for the pains to stop (when and if they do)
