Have you found anything out yet? I hope
you can help that innocent little girl
out. She deserves so much better.

Fingers crossed you can take her! I feel
so bad for that poor little baby, some
people should not be capable of
reproduction.

Michelle- You are such a sweet person. I
do not understand how anyone can sit
around doing drugs while pregnant or
around their children. I am so sorry that
happened to that sweet baby girl. You are
doing the absolute right thing trying to
see about taking care of her. Please keep
us updated and let me know if I can do
anything at all to help (mail you baby
things to help out) anything at all!!!

All I have to say is wow. I cannot believe
people! I couldn't stand to be around
them, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth
shut.

SSI is around $500 a month. Not much. If
they pay $28 for rent in low income
housing, their income is so far below the
poverty level it is sad.
Chances are, that baby has been drug
tested since birth. The parents, I'm sure,
are supposed to be involved in some kind
of treatment and/or drug counselling and
will need to comply with CYS to keep the
baby in their home. If they do not comply
(ie, do drugs or not seek treatment, not
take the baby to specified appointments,
etc) it is grounds for having her removed
from their home. They will now have to
jump through all the hoops CYS sets in
front of them, go to court dates, and
prove themselves worthy parents. That is
not a bad thing.
As far as you adopting this baby... that
won't happen. The parents have the right
to change their lives to get their baby
back and it will be years before their
parental rights would be absolved. For
now, it sounds like that child is better
off in foster care where she is getting
the love and care she deserves while her
parents figure themselves out.

Well, me & Shane talked more about all
of this lastnight & as bad as he also
feels for the baby, it's not something he
wants to jump into. He's afraid it will
put a strain on his relationship with
Bryan being that he is family & all,
& just doesn't want to be in the
middle of everything. So we didn't go find
anything out today, I'm sure Bryan will be
calling him in the next few days keeping
him updated though so I'll update you guys
as I hear more info..

This little girl is his family too, and
I'd personally rather have a relationship
with her than that ass of a brother....
